Sunday Assembly Canberra is a radically-inclusive, non-religious gathering held once per month. In a nutshell:
Interesting speaker + community + songs + tea & cake = Sunday Assembly Canberra.
Unlike other events, the community we build is equally as important as the speakers we host. Between each monthly assembly we have social groups and events, to foster our intentional community.
Sunday Assembly's motto is Live Better, Help Often, Wonder More.
Here are our remaining Assembly dates for 2017:
19 November - theme: Decisions
10 December - a social event picnic barbecue. Details TBA.
The Sunday Assembly Canberra organising committee meets on the Wednesday night following each monthly Assembly event.
We use this meeting to assess the recent event, and to plan future events and activities.
Any member from our community is welcome to attend these meetings. We really value the fresh ideas and input that community members can bring to our decision-making and planning.
Our 7:00 - 8:30pm meetings are held at:
Boardroom of Level 5, 1 Moore Street, Canberra, ACT, 2601
i.e. the ACT Health Building, across the road from the Canberra GPO.
Meet near the large 'red cross' at the front of the building, to be let up for the 7pm meeting.
Phone 0407 439 131 if you run into snags and need to be let inside, as the building's doors are locked at this time of night.
Once again: you are extremely welcome to join us for these Organising Committee meetings! Even if you just want to 'pop in' once, and see what goes on.
